Trailer Tester ("the App") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Collection

The App does not collect any personal data.

Specifically:

• We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identification information
• We do not collect device identifiers (such as IMEI, advertising identifiers, etc.)
• We do not collect location information
• We do not collect any analytics data or usage statistics
• We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies

2. Bluetooth Data

The App communicates with trailer testing devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Details:

• All BLE data is transmitted locally between your mobile device and the paired TTester device only
• BLE data includes PWM frequency, duty cycle, Aux voltage values, and IO status — this data is used solely for display within the App's interface
• This data is never sent to any remote server or third party
• The App does not store BLE communication data

3. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions, which are required solely for core functionality:

• Bluetooth (BLE) Permission: Used to scan, connect to, and communicate with TTester devices
• Location Permission (Android only): The Android system requires location permission to perform BLE scans. The App does not actually use or collect your location information

4. Data Storage

The App uses on-device secure storage (expo-secure-store) to save only app configuration preferences (such as device connection history). This data:

• Is stored locally on your device only
• Is never synced or uploaded to any server
• Is automatically cleared when you uninstall the App

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not share any data with third parties.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect any personal data, the App is safe for users of all ages.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the security of the App. Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data, the risk of a data breach is minimal. BLE communication has a limited range (typically within a few meters), which further reduces data security risks.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be notified within the App.

9. Your Rights

Since the App does not collect any personal data, you do not need to worry about data deletion or access requests. If you wish to clear locally stored app configuration data, you can uninstall the App at any time.
